Zapier

Find the email of every new lead automatically. You'll build a Zap with four steps: your trigger, a request to Icypeas, a short delay, and a second request to get the result.

What you need

• A Zapier plan that includes Webhooks by Zapier (a premium app).
• Your Icypeas API key.

Add your trigger

For example Google Sheets › New Spreadsheet Row, HubSpot › New Contact or Typeform › New Entry. It must give you a first name, a last name and a company (or an email to verify).

Start the search

Add an action Webhooks by Zapier, event Custom Request, and fill in:

Click Test step: you should get Success: true and an Item Id.

For a verification, use https://app.icypeas.com/api/email-verification and { "email": "Email from step 1" }.

Add Delay by Zapier › Delay For and set 1 minute.

Get the result

Add another Webhooks by Zapier › Custom Request:

Use the email

In the next steps, insert from step 4:

• Items Results Emails Email: the email.
• Items Results Emails Certainty: how reliable it is (see levels).
• Items Status: DEBITED or FOUND when an email was found (see statuses).

Only keep found emails

Add a Filter by Zapier after step 4: only continue if Items Status (Text) exactly matches DEBITED.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Fix
Unauthorized access.	Check the Authorization header: it must contain your API key only, without Bearer.
Success: false with validation errors	A field mapped in step 2 is empty. You need a company and at least a first or last name.
Status is still IN_PROGRESS	Increase the delay or add a second Delay + Custom Request.
