Do I need to know how to code?
No. Follow the quickstart to run your first search by pasting a command, or use Google Sheets, Make, Zapier or n8n. You can also ask an AI assistant to write the integration for you.
Is the API included in my plan?
Yes. Every Icypeas account can activate the API on the API page. It uses the same credits as the app: see credit costs.
Why don't I get the email right away?
Icypeas checks emails live with the company's mail server, which takes a few seconds. You start the search, then you read its result or receive it on a webhook. See How it works.
How long does a search take?
Usually a few seconds for a single search. A bulk search of thousands of rows takes a few minutes.
Am I charged when no email is found?
Not for an email search: you pay 1 credit only when an email is found. A verification always costs 0.1 credit. See credit costs.
How many emails can I find at once?
Up to 5,000 per bulk search call, one call per second.
What's the difference between ultra_sure and probable?
ultra_sure / very_sure mean a bounce rate below 1%, probable below 5%. See Email certainty.
Should I give the company name or its website?
The website (domain) when you have it: icypeas.com is more precise than Icypeas. Both work.
My key doesn't work, what do I do?
Make sure API access is on, and that you send the key alone in the Authorization header, without Bearer. See Errors.
Can I use my own ids to match results?
Yes. Pass custom.externalId with a single search or custom.externalIds with a bulk search: they come back with the results and in webhooks.
How do I check how many credits I have left?
Call the subscription endpoint. It's free.
